Be Creative

One Hundred Years Of Creativity

Without creativity the world would not be where it is technologically.  We would still be living without air conditioning, without automobiles, without computers, cell phones, lasers and life saving drugs and hardware.  In just the last century we have created amazing things and ideas to make our lives easier.  In the next one hundred years our inventions and new ideas will more than triple and this is in spite of our current educational model.

Current Outdated Educational Model

The educational model that we currently have is based upon memorization and regurgitation.  This is not only true in grade school but it continues throughout doctorate degrees.  Most of our new inventions have been created by people who either dropped out of formal schooling or did very poorly in school.  I'm not saying that we should do away with education entirely but we should investigate a more suitable educational model that promotes creativity.

Saving Social Security

In the United States alone we have a huge population known as the 'baby boomers' and all of them are now entering the geriatric stage of their lives.  Unfortunately there are not enough facilities or people to take care of this group once they are unable to care for themselves.  Along with the decrease in care we will also see a decrease in Social Security.  So far no one who has had a formal education has figured out a way to save the Social Security system.  There have been suggestions on how to change it but nothing that has long term stability.

Take The Uneducated Seriously

This situation is in great need of one of those individuals who have embraced creativity.  I believe it will be someone who has very little education that will bring forth an amazing idea that will create long term stability of the social security system.  Although the idea will be presented to the government the government will have to actually take the presenter seriously and investigate the possibilities.  However, even with proper investigation there will only be a few people who believe in the idea and the impact the idea will create.  This is true of any new invention or idea that has ever been presented.

Dream The Next Big Idea

FedEx was an idea that was spawned from a classroom assignment.  When approached by investors the creator was not taken seriously.  He did however get people to believe in him and now they are all laughing all the way to the bank.  I believe anyone is able to create an idea if they only allow themselves the latitude to make mistakes.  We can dream of the next big idea but it is in thinking through the idea many of our great inventors must really focus on.  There are millions of great ideas created on a daily basis.  Most of us get great ideas but we don't follow through because we think since we don't have any formal training in a particular subject we just drop the idea and forget it.

Write It Down

My recommendation is to get a small journal that you can write ideas that you think of during the day.  Who knows the idea might help you get promoted in your job.  It might help you create independent wealth.  It might be just another stupid idea.  The process of writing down your ideas on a regular basis will help cultivate more ideas and continue to promote your brain to work on others in your subconscious.  When the ideas are written down the brain understands that it can continue thinking and creating in this vein.

Those ideas you think are stupid must be written down.  Read what you have written in the past on a regular basis.  This will allow your brain to continue to work on ideas that will modify your previous ideas and ultimately create a perfect well thought out idea for a book, invention, financial process or solution to the Social Security system.  Focus on writing down those ideas when they pop into your head.  You will continue to be inundated with more and more ideas that will eventually be the right idea.  This is the process of creation.
